ACNE AND PIMPLES ...................3 STEPS IN TREATING ACNE

Acne is caused by overactive sebaceous glands. These glands secrets sebum an oily substance which protects the skin. Acne is almost always related to hormonal activity in the body, leading to over activity of the oil glands causing excess secretion of oil. The excess oil accumulates below the skin and leads to clogging of the pores. Pimples is also a form of acne but are milder than a full blown acne. Both Acne and Pimples are caused by clogging of the pores. To avoid Acne the face should be cleaned twice daily and avoid touching your face. Hormonal changes (puberty, menstruation, hormone therapy, etc.) are among the biggest causes, but heredity also plays a part, as does stress and medication.

STEPS
. CLEAN YOUR SKIN;   Rinse your skin with lukewarm water. That opens the pores and allows for deep cleansing. Use a gentle scrub once or twice weekly.

. TONE YOUR SKIN;  To avoid the spread of bacteria, tighten your pores with your toner (Any nice toner will do). Where a toner is not readily available use cold water to do the final rinsing of the skin. Cold water actually closes back your pores.

.  MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN;  Use a light oil free moisturizer or cream. If your skin is well moisturized your sebaceous gland won't produce excess sebum.
